Colocasia and Alocasia
Colocasias, commonly known as Elephant Ears or Taro, are a standout genus of tropical, rhizomatous herbaceous perennials in the Araceae family, highly prized for their dramatic, oversized foliage and strong architectural impact. Native to Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent, they are widely used to create an instant tropical, jungle-like effect, with forms ranging from compact dwarf varieties to towering specimens reaching up to 9 feet tall.
