Brugmansia sanguinea is a large, fast-growing shrub with soft branches, large velvety leaves, and long, scentless, trumpet-shaped flowers. Native to high-altitude regions of the Andes at elevations of 2,000–3,000 m (6,600–9,800 ft.) from Colombia to Bolivia, it is a popular ornamental that adapts well to a range of warm-temperate climates. This particular form features slightly bulbous flowers with a rich vermilion tube and a pale yellow throat.
