Musa Sikkimensis Manipur Massive
£10.00
This robust form of Musa sikkimensis was collected in the monsoonal mountain forests of Manipur in extreme eastern India, near the border with Myanmar. It produces shorter but markedly sturdier plants, with thicker pseudostems and broader, heavier-textured leaves. Young plants display distinctive wine-red striping on the foliage. It is as easy to grow and as cold tolerant as the typical Musa sikkimensis from the Darjeeling region, while being better adapted to drier conditions.
