Musa Cheesmanii
£12.00
A vigorous, medium-sized wild banana originating from Northeastern India. Its densely clustering pseudostems are dark reddish-brown, accented by a waxy white bloom near the leaf stalks. The leaves are bright green above with a pale midrib, and grayish beneath with a bold purple-brown midrib. Though Musa cheesmanii was formally described more than half a century ago, we believe this remarkably colourful and ornamental banana has only recently entered cultivation through our introduction. It is closely related to Musa sikkimensis and performs well in similar conditions.
